Transcript of the Last Will and Testament of
William FARR, Doctor of Physic

This is the last will and testament of me William FFARR Doctor of Physic late physician to the Royal Naval Hospital in the County of Devon made this 14th day of April 1807 (one thousand eight hundred and seven) being of a sound and disposing Mind and memory and understating ??? I give and bequeath unto my wife Joanna FARR ??? the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid to her within three months after my decease.

Item I Give unto my daughter Susanna FARR the sum of one thousand pounds to be paid to her within three months after my decease.

Item I give to my son William Dale FARR four hundred pounds in trust for my grandsons William ffarr ROSE, Cooper ROSE, William ??? ROSE and George Edward ROSE to be paid to them or the survivor of them in equal proportions on their severally attaining the ages of twenty one years and I direct that the interest of the above sum of four hundred pounds shall be paid half yearly to their Mother Sarah ROSE for their life (?).

Item I give to my daughter Sarah ROSE two hundred pounds to be paid to her within three months after my decease. Item I give unto Doctor FFIASER (?) Physician in London and to Doctor HAGGARTH (?) physician in Bath each five guineas for mourning rings.

Item I give devise  and bequeath unto my son William Dale FFARR his heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever all my manors messuages land tenements and hereditaments and all the first residue and remainders of my money servities for money and all other my personal estates and effects whatsoever to and  for his and their own ?? and benefit and I do make herewith and appoint him the said Wm Dale FARR sole executor of this my last will and testament and lastly I do revoke all former wills by me at any time heretofore made in witness whereof I the said William FARR testator have to this my last will and testament written on two side of one sheet of paper set my hand at the ffoot of the first side and my hand and seal to this last side

 William FARR signed sealed published and …. By the testator William ffARR as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses  R. ELSE of Bath Stephen Clement WEBB; John RUSSELL his clerk.

This will was proved at London on the thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine before the worshipful Samuel ? PARSON Doctor of laws and surrogate of the Right Honorable Sir John NICHOLL Knight, Doctor of Laws, Master keeper or commissary of the prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of William Dale FARR esquire the son of the deceased the sole executor named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and …. Of the said deceased he having been first sworn duly to administer.
