By 1851 census, he's a farmer of 62 acres (is this the land his Mum and Dad farmed?) in old Dalby. 1861 Census, shown as 'senr'. Living on his own in Old Dalby, a widowed grazier of 32 acres. Probaby died March Qrt 1879, Melton Mowbray, aged 84. Ref 2.
