1861 census, living with his mother and father in law, Thomas (52 - tailor) and Elizabeth MILES (54 - school mistress) in Lutterworth. He's a carpenter and joiner.

1871 census, living in Bakehouse Lane, Lutterworth, a journeyman carpenter and joiner

1881 census, living again with father in law Thomas who is now widowed. Died December quarter 1882 Ref 2
