Findlay Steele Associates LtdNominet get involved Whilst waiting for a reply from the Editor of the Daily Mail (by the way Ed, we're still waiting....) the postman delivers a bulky letter on the doorstep one sunny saturday morning. It's from Nominet. It contains a copy of a letter from the other FSA. They start off saying what big boys they are, how much bigger they are going to become and how they have a statutory duty to protect etc... They also say they wish to call in Nominet's dispute resolution service over the issue because: "We are concerned that, given our reputation and goodwill, members of the
public will become confused by the use of the domain name by Findlay Steele Associates
and ourselves to our and the public's detriment. To this end, we understand that your
registration rules ..... entitle you to cancel a registration or suspend delegation .....
if that name is being used in a manner likely to cause confusion to internet users,
where you are informed that legal action has been commenced regarding use of the
name or where you are of the opinion that one of the last two events is likely to
occur. The letter is signed by a gentleman lawyer of their very own General Counsel's Division. Copyright 2002
